The interaction of 2-aminonaphthyl-1-thiol 1 with hexachlorocyclodiphosph(V)azanes 2, 1,3-diaryl-2,4-dithio- -2,4-dichlorocyclodiphosph(V)azane 4 and 1,3-diaryl-2,4-dioxo-2,4-dichlorocyclodiphosph(V)azane 6 gave new compounds 3a-g, 5a-g and 7a-g, respectively. Cyclodiphosph(V)azane complex derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of 7a with metal halides such as copper bromide, cadmium iodide or cobalt thiocyanate furnishing 8a-c, respectively. The structure of the isolated products is proposed on the basis of microanalytical data, infrared, ultraviolet, mass and 1H NMR spectroscopic analysis. The synthesized compounds show a good biological activity towards different microorganisms.
