GRANIC MEETS SIMON WIESENTHAL CENTRE DIRECTOR - FOREIGN MINISTRY

ZAGREB, Oct 6 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Wednesday met the Director of Jerusalem's Simon Wiesenthal Centre, Efraim Zuroff, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement today.

The two officials expressed satisfaction with the constant development of Croatian-Israeli relations.

Zuroff used the occasion to express satisfaction with the way the trial of Dinko Sakic was conducted, adding he was impressed with the level of professionalism and objectivity demonstrated during the trial, the statement said.

Granic and Zuroff also discussed possible negative implications the publishing of the book "Mein Kampf" could have for Croatia's reputation in Israel because the book was published without an expert commentary which would put Fascism and Hitler's criminal role, their establishment and implementation, in the right historical context.
