CROATIA - UNKNOWN TOURIST DESTINATION OT AMERICAN TOURISTS

ZAGREB, Oct 22 (Hina) - Croatia is an attractive tourist destination, however it still has not been properly introduced to American tourists.

The Croatian tourism has been more advertised in European countries than in the United States, reporters of well-respected American Jews' magazines said during Friday's talks with Croatian tourist reporters.

At the invitation of the Croatian Tourist Association (HTZ), the United States reports are visiting Croatian between October 20 and 28, in order to be introduced to Croatia's political, economic, tourist, and cultural possibilities.

The United States reporters believe that the decoration of the HTZ branch office in New York, which is located near the Empire State Building, would help the promotion of the Croatian tourism.

The United States reporters wondered whether facts of the Holocaust were taught in Croatian schools. They also expressed interest in the opinion of Croatian citizens on the Dinko Sakic trial, the upcoming elections, relations between Croatia and Israel, and the upcoming visit of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman to Israel.
